Our 2nd - 5th grade focus will be on teaching the fundamentals of basketball, utilizing USA Basketball Guidelines, and simply having fun. The girls will be introduced to the competitive side of the game. Please review the following links for rules and program focus for each grade level.

*MAKE SURE GIRLS ARE PLAYING POSITIONLESS BASKETBALL. PLEASE DO NOT PIGEON HOLE A PLAYER BASED ON HER HEIGHT, WEIGHT OR ANY OTHER PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTIC. TEAMS SHOULD BE ORGANIZED SO THAT THE TALENT IS SIMILAR FOR EACH TEAM.
6th Grade Program

Our 6th graders will continue to focus on skill development and having fun, but they will also be introduced to the MHSAA rules structure. Games will be officiated by MHSAA officials. The general offering will be 1-3 practices and 2 games (Monday/Wednesday) per week. In addition to having fun, there are basic fundamentals that all 6th grade basketball athletes must be capable of doing in time for Middle School.

7th / 8th Grade Program

Our 7th and 8th graders will continue to focus on skill development and having fun, but they will also be introduced to travel and outside competition. MHSAA rules apply and games are conducted by MHSAA officials. The general offering will be 1-3 practices and 2 games per week. In addition to having fun, there are basic fundamentals that all 7th/8th grade basketball athletes must be capable of doing in time for High School.
